Rich Potter believes laughter is the universal language. He’s been speaking that comedy language to audiences for over 30 years. As a clown who traveled the world with Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus, Rich connected with audiences on the best and funniest levels.
He has appeared on David Letterman, at the Kennedy Center, Wolftrap Center for the Arts, and at the Vice Presidential Mansion. As a hospital clown with the Big Apple Circus Clown Care Unit, Rich brought a comedic sensitivity to his work that helped the children in long-term hospital care experience joy and laughter. Rich has also worked as an educator with the National Circus Project, Center Ring Circus School, Van Lodostov, and Circus Camp Stars. He delights in bringing circus skills to a new generation of students and future stars.
He resides in New York City and is available for corporate events, school assemblies, library shows, festivals, and other events.
